Library
The Sectional Library of Nupélia is a supplementary body administratively linked to Nupélia and technically to the Central Library of UEM, characterized as a specialized university library with open access. Its main objective is to foster connection and interaction with the community through the analytical dissemination of knowledge and information, enabling the formation of ideas based on the combination of social organization and service provision. Its mission is to establish itself as a reference center in the areas of Limnology, Ichthyology, Aquaculture, and their interfaces, supporting teaching activities and the development of scientific research.
Collection Management and Dissemination
Coordinate, gather, organize, store, and disseminate the collection, aiming to optimize bibliographic, multimedia, and electronic holdings.
Support for Research, Teaching, and Outreach
Support and provide bibliographic and information services necessary for the development of teaching, research, and outreach at Nupélia and the PEA.
Continuous Collection Update
Maintain an up-to-date collection in accordance with teaching and research programs.
Institutional and Scientific Exchange
Maintain exchanges of collections, documents, and services with libraries, documentation centers, universities, and other national and international technical-scientific and cultural institutions.
Technical Processing of Information
Process information according to methodologies relevant to bibliographic description, systematic classification, and MARC bibliographic format.
